Sun and Moon darken, Stars fall from heaven

It is tempting to take this literally, but that could lead to an entirely innappropriate expectation. A lot of the Bible, after all, is written in figurative language. Here is another take on this prophecy which yields a completely different, and pertinent, warning.

In the Last Days, Jesus said, “the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven.” How are we to understand this verse? It is written that Joseph, the eleventh of the twelve sons of Jacob, had a dream:

Then he dreamed another dream, and told it to his brothers, and said, “Behold, I have dreamed another dream; and behold, the sun, the moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.” But when he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him, and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves to the ground before you?” - Gen. 37:9, 10

When Joseph later became the prime minister of Egypt, his parents and brothers bowed down before him, as the dream had foretold. In his dream, the sun and moon symbolized the parents, while the stars symbolized their children. As will be explained, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are the True Parents who came to give rebirth to humanity in place of Adam and Eve. Therefore, in this prophecy from Matthew, the sun and moon represent Jesus and the Holy Spirit, while the stars represent the faithful believers who are their children. Elsewhere, Jesus is likened to the true light because he came as the incarnation of the Word and shone forth the light of truth. (John 1:9,14) Here, the sunlight means the light of the words of Jesus, and the moonlight means the light of the Holy Spirit, who came as the Spirit of truth. (John 16:13)

For the sun to be darkened and the moon to lose its light means that the New Testament Word given by Jesus and the Holy Spirit will lose its luster. How can the Word as revealed in the New Testament possibly lose its light? The Old Testament Word was eclipsed when Jesus and the Holy Spirit came and gave us the New Testament Word, which fulfilled the Old Testament Word. (2 Cor. 3:7-11) Likewise, when Christ
returns and gives the new truth in order to fulfill the New Testament Word and build a new heaven and new earth, the Word which he gave at his first coming will lose its light. It is said that the Word will lose its light because, with the coming of a new era, the period of the mission of the old truth will have lapsed.

The prophecy that the stars will fall from heaven signifies that in the Last Days many faithful Christian believers will make a misstep and fall from God’s grace. At the time of Jesus, the leaders of the Jewish people were all yearning for the coming of the Messiah, but they met their downfall when they did not recognize Jesus as the Messiah and opposed him. Likewise, Christians who have been anxiously awaiting the return of Jesus are likely to make the same misjudgment and fall when he actually returns.
Picture
Jesus asked, “Nevertheless, when the Son of man comes, will he find faith on earth?” (Luke 18:8) On another occasion he said he would declare to devout believers, “I never knew you; depart from me, you evildoers.” (Matt. 7:23) Jesus gave these warnings to the Christians of the Last Days because he foresaw that they would be likely to disbelieve and trespass against him at his Second Advent.

This explanation makes a lot more sense, right? The stars falling from heaven parallel with the warning that Jesus, at his return, may reject even those who are doing mighty works in his name (Matt. 7:21-23)

Another point to be clear about is that the Fall of Man was not God's Will, as evidenced by the Bible verse in Genesis 6:6 - And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. The rejection of Jesus that led to his death on the cross is in the same ball-park.

There has to be freewill in order for Love to exist. If this freewill were compromised then Love would become void, or permanently crippled. Because of this God cannot intervene in, or interfere with, mankind's portion of responsibiity. This is the main reason why God's providence of restoration has taken such a long time.

That mankind has to respond appropriately to God, or Jesus, is shown through Bible verses such as, 'The prayer of faith will save the sick man (James 5:15) and, 'For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened (Matt. 7:8). Jesus also made this clear when he said,
"To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling out to others: ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn." (Matt. 11:16,17)

The 2nd coming of Elijah at the time of Jesus that fulfilled the prophecy contained in Malachi 4:5 did not come in the way the people expected from taking that prophecy literally. According to the words of Jesus it was fulfilled by a different person, with a different name - John the Baptist. Shouldn't we learn from this actual example?

For the signs of the Last Days, which we most certainly are in right now, have a look at pertinent meanings highlighted on the Home page (under basic points) which make a lot more sense than just taking these Bible words at face value (as the example which you've just read of the Sun and the Moon darkening, and the Stars falling from heaven).

The Messiah of the 2nd Coming has to come as Jesus did - born on the earth. Jesus gave to Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven and said, 'What you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and what you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. We've got to accomplish this on the earth first.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

in the text on the right of this blog (under 'Author' - but this is visible only in computer view, not phone or tablet) it states that Sean Moon became irrelevant and I have been asked to explain about that; here is my reply:

There are several reasons why I said that.

First to use the reasoning of Sean Moon himself. The family members of a great artist cannot change the works that the great artist made just because they are family members. That it even more true of the Messiah who is truly irreplaceable.

The True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, aka God's Substantial Self left the 8 Great Textbooks and advised that not even one comma should be changed and that these should be studied by us even when we are in the spirit world! (Hyperbole? . . .)

Sean Moon has not promoted HoonDokHwae (daily home study of the 8 Great Texts) but, rather, the King's Report that was of 3 hours duration every day from 05:00 hrs until 08:00 hrs. This was comprised of different sections concerned with current affairs, Bible readings, events and even had a weather report.

The links to the 8 Great Texts should be of the highest quality on his website but they are simply copied and pasted from other sources. For example, when I pointed out that the Exposition of the Divine Principle was missing 2 paragraphs on every pdf version currently in cyberspace and even of the hard copy English version of 1996 and 1998 his response was to block me from contacting him again. Here is the
link to that blog. The associated comments elaborate further info. If Sean Moon was truly interested in the 8 Great Texts then he would welcome that information, right? Even if it came from a lowly member that he didn't especially like.
Another reason is that Sean Moon did not uphold the heavenly constitution in the Jamal Johnson v Lourdes Swartz case and, furthermore, decreed that Jamal back down. This was quite a big deal and is another reason why I left Sanctuary Church that our family had been supporting since 'Breaking the Silence'.

The crowning of Sean Moon as the 'successor' to Rev. Sun Myung Moon I think has been misunderstood and makes a lot more sense when Sean Moon is considered as a representative of 'we the people' aka children of God. Instead the kingship he is demonstrating has become no different from secular kingships of the past. For example there are decrees on the Sanctuary Church website that overreach the 8 Great Texts (which, I believe, are absolute).

There are others points too, such as the content of the Cheon Il Guk constitution, which I did a course on from the Holy Spirit University of Sanctuary church about 4 years ago. Even the person who led that course now realizes that the constitution in question is, in of itself, questionable. (ie. not absolute)

But these are enough points for now.

Hope that this will go some way to answering your question.

Sincerely Yours:  Andrew Derricutt

This is going to be 'over the heads' of a lot of people right now. Also I could've called the Blog: 'Beware of Imitations' but chose instead the 'Snake in the Barn' to emphasize the seriousness of the deviation from the words of the LSA (Lord of the Second Advent)

As expressed in earlier posts, the LSA can come in one of two fundamental ways: born on the earth (as was Jesus) or in a supernatural way on the clouds of Heaven (and every eye will see him) The 'basic points' on the Home page explain the signs of the Last Days (which could be taken literally or figuratively) There is evidence that the LSA was born on the earth shortly after WW1. The last part of the blog (in blue color text) about Pr. DJT's letter explains where to look for this and check it out.

Hoping that you'll take time for that . . .

So, You don't need the LSA . . .

Believing in the rapture will put you here. The purpose of the Lord of the Second Advent (2nd Coming of Christ) in this case is only for judgement. If you're waiting for the rapture though, you're going to be waiting forever. Don't you think that it should've already happened?

The Second Coming of Elijah is a clue that the rapture may not happen as you would expect. Look again at the prophesy of Malachi - in the penultimate verse of what we call the Old Testament of the Bible - 'I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.'

Since Elijah ascended to heaven in a fiery chariot it's logical, and reasonable, to suppose that he will return in like manner. BUT, Jesus said, if you can accept it, that John the Baptist is the Elijah. (Matt. 11:14) So, the 2nd coming of Elijah was fulfilled by a different person, with a different name. As you know from the book of Revelation, the LSA is coming with a new name too, right? (Rev. 2:17 & 3:12)

Jesus also warned that it would be difficult to recognize the LSA. Why would that be important if we don't actually need the LSA? Afterall, you've lived a good life, as much as it is possible to do so in this world, until now. The die is cast, so to speak. Surely those who are confronted by the Lord on the Clouds who, seeing that repent and believe, are cheating as they'll catch up in a moment all the good they could've otherwise done in their life. If the LSA does indeed come in that way then a lot of things in the Bible don't make logical sense. For example: if the Fall of Man was already known by God, why is it recorded in the Bible that: '. . . the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart' ? (NKJV) God also regretted that He made Saul king (1 Sam. 15:11)

So, why do we need the Lord of the Second Advent?

Picture

Jesus was the Word made flesh and, therefore, tried to get the people to believe in him as the most effective way to connect with God. But, since they did not, Jesus had to use words and lamented that: he had many things to say but that we could not bear them now (John 16:12) I've told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can I tell you of heavenly things? (John 3:12) I've spoken to you figuratively, but the time is coming (LSA) when I will speak to you plainly of the Father (God) (John 16:25)

We need the 'word' of God so that we can become the people that God originally intended us to be. We (the people) need to become 'word made flesh' too as per Jesus when he said: 'You, therefore, must be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect. (Matt. 5:48) The LSA comes to speak plainly the word of God that Jesus spoke of figuratively. The LSA also comes in order to bring physical, as well as spiritual, re-birth. The spiritual re-birth, received from Jesus and the Holy Spirit, cannot be bequeathed to the children of Christian parents.

The understanding of the 'human portion of responsibility' (with which even God cannot intervene or interfere with) is not understood by present day Christianity. The literal understanding of 'rapture' seems to negate Jesus' statement that: 'what you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and vice versa. These are the keys to the kingdom of heaven! (Matt, 16:19 & 18:18) For all these reasons we need to connect with, and emulate, the LSA just as the first chosen people should've connected with Jesus and followed him.

The last two blogs were stating that the LSA came already - born on the earth shortly after the 1st World War. Now, you should start to know why this is a 'big deal' and why you do need the LSA.

Last Days of What?

Have been doubly creative by changing my Trump hat from 2024 to 2021 by careful pruning of the number '4'. and in carving our pumpkin. The combination is probably scary for some who are investing a lot in propping up the fake administration that the USA is currently saddled with. I am hoping this is the season that can bring those fears to fruition..

Yesterday was a new month on the Lunar calendar (9th month, 1st day) meaning that 2/3 of the year has gone and we're in the last third already. I think this is a significant year as it's the year of the 'Ox' and 'O' and 'X' are mentioned in 'Owner of Peace, Owner of Lineage' speech as well as the Peace Message 17. 'O' is the right answer, whereas 'X' is the false answer and it is highly apparent that the world is dividing into 2 fundamental camps right now. For example, the contrast between the previous administration and the current one is stark and was spelt out in the letter that President Trump wrote to the speaker of the house mentioned in the previous blog.

I wonder to what extent Christians have really engaged with the realization that the 1st Chosen People totally missed connecting with Jesus as the real Messiah/ Christ. If they had done so then it should follow that they (the 2nd Israel) are likely to make a similar kind of fundamental and humungous error. To make an effort to understand how it could be that the First Chosen People could have got it so wrong. And, not only that, but to stubbornly insist, even 2,000 years later, that the promised Messiah did not yet come!

This would make sense of Jesus' warnings to Christians of the Last Days in the Bible verses Luke 17: 25 - But first He must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. And the scary, hard to take, warning from Matthew 7:21-23 - “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ BUT, Christians do not seem to think that Jesus was talking directly to them; trying to warn them. Pity.
You can verify for yourself that the Lord of the Second Advent did indeed come 'like a thief in the night', and 'like a snare' by being born on the earth shortly after WW1. To do this you would need to connect with the Principles of Restoration that are explained in the 'Introduction to Restoration' that can be found in Part 2 of the Exposition of the Divine Principle. It doesn't take so long to read. The following chapter (Part 2, Chapter 1) shows how these principles of restoration were applied in the families of Adam, Noah, and Abraham. Reading this chapter will yield some hidden aspect of the Bible that has always been there, but not really appreciated for why this story was recorded in the way that it was.

Having done that, go to the 3rd Chapter, to see where the time periods, that are recorded in the Bible for the time period from Abraham to Jesus, and in the history of Western Europe from Jesus to the 2nd Advent, have their provenance. The 4th chapter demonstrates the parallels between the period from Abraham to Jesus with the period of prolongation from Jesus to the 2nd Advent. You will see the unmistakable footprints of God in history which is essentially a history of restoration with a very specific goal - the complete recovery of the Fallen Adam.

The fake administration in the USA is like a microcosm of the fake administration that was generated by the terrible event of the Fall of Man. Evil is on full display like never before as this administration seeks to demonstrate that your body belongs to the state through mandating the vaccine, and that your children belong to the state by demonizing parents who are criticizing the school boards for teaching 'Critical Race Theory' and 'Gender Fluidity'. This is every bit as terrible as the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and doesn't seem like America at all.

Just as at the time of Jesus the word was really important. Jesus tried to get the people to believe in him since he was the embodiment of the word but, since they didn't, Jesus lamented that: 'he had many things to say, but that the people could not bear them now, . . . and that he had to speak figuratively but that when he came again (2nd Advent) he would speak plainly of the Father (God). (John 16:12 and 25)

The Bible is open to many interpretations as there are many things explained figuratively. The principles of restoration are a case in point. Once the principles of restoration can be understood it can be seen that the stories in the Bible have a focus and these same principles can be consistently applied in any age, or era.

Looking forward to hearing from You once you've come to realize that the Lord of the Second Advent must've occurred shortly after WW1.

I came to Christ through the Lord at His Second Coming. I have been connected with what some would regard as a ‘New Age cult’ for more than 40 years. I want, through this website, to share what I’ve come to understand, and show that it stands up to scrutiny, and criticism.

Until quite recently I had regarded Christians as the enemy of the Lord of the Second Advent! But then, through Rev. Moon’s successor, Hyung Jin Moon, after his ‘Breaking the Silence’ (2015 January) where he emphasized the Bible (KJV) and spoke almost exclusively of Jesus, grace and faith I decided to connect with a Christian church (Belmont Church in Harrow, London, UK) to find out about these aspects of faith and grace which I had no idea about.

My strength was the words of truth, as I saw it, that were contained in the ‘Exposition of the Divine Principle’. This is the basic teaching of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon that, for me, made sense of the Bible.

That Hyung Jin Moon (aka Sean Moon) has since become irrelevant is regrettable but should not become a stumbling block. The 8 Great Sacred Texts (available on the Resources page) constitute the New Age Truth that we need to connect with (from the Lord of the Second Coming) and, I believe, these are absolute.

So began a journey that opened up the teaching of Rev Moon to an understanding where I came to realize that I am a Christian, Jesus IS the Messiah (as opposed to was the Messiah) and a complete reappraisal of this teaching which is what I want to share through this means.

OK; there are abridged explanations and sudden conclusions already but I will deal with those if you write to me; let us reason together - and test all things and hold fast to what is good! Also a lot of these can be overcome by reading, "The Exposition of the Divine Principle".

Thanks for engaging with this and I hope to hear from you so that we can share together as brothers and sisters in Christ and arrive at an understanding of the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven that is more to do with 1 Corinthians 3:16 than John 3:16 Thank You for visiting this website.

    Let us reason together . . .
