Now that this website has been upgraded there is no upload limit. Having finished putting up the Exposition of the Divine Principle (327 pages) the basic teaching from Rev. Moon which brings out an astonishing, consistent, view of the Bible, as the record of a restoration history that came about due to the Fall of Man. I could resume to put up the early sermons from the 1950s.

The title of the one that I was formatting recently, and creating text to voice for was, "Why Does the Lord Have to Come Back? (15th sermon of Vol. 2) These sermons are speaking exclusively about Jesus. But it is not the Jesus of the 'cross'. It is the Jesus who was striving to bring to realization the Kingdom of Heaven; at the beginning of the Gospels this was Jesus' primary message after all. A lot of people are aware of the fact that Jesus is to come again, because he made it plain that he would. But, not many people would be clear on why, precisely, Jesus has to return - and, why it has taken so long. "I am coming soon", in measured time is around 2,000 years, right?

This sermon, first given more than 60 years ago explains from a practical, realistic viewpoint why the Christ has to come again. Reading this will give a surprising insight into reasons that you may not have considered before. This is why I entitled this blog "A new Content . . .".

One of my near neighbors, a Christian professor, wrote a Kindle book (around $10) about the huge difference in quality between the Old Testament Age, and the New Testament Age that was opened by Jesus. I was inspired by this and bought the book because the massive change that he's writing about, between the OTA and the NTA, is equally as large between the NTA and the new era initiated by the Second Advent of Christ. I must confess to not having yet finished this book yet but have, at least, made a significant start on it.

Jesus did say that he would no longer speak figuratively, but would speak plainly of the Father (our Heavenly Father, God). Mostly though this is not the focus of Christians' expectations but, instead, the rapture and the new heaven and new earth most certainly is.
Another speech that I uploaded today is also speaking about this topic. It was recommended to me by someone that I'd shared a link to my blog with. This is from the God's Day midnight speech from the last day of 1990, "Unification of My Country". It is similar in content to the public speech, "The New Future of Christianity" but this one is speaking to those who had made a commitment to connect with and follow these controversial teachings. In other words, to the members.

Just to remind you - that Jesus' teaching is no longer considered controversial - but it most surely was 2,000 years ago. My point is, that when Jesus said, in John 16:25, that he would no longer speak in figurative language but plainly when he returns is that it will, for sure, be just as controversial to us as Jesus' message was to the first chosen people of 2,000 years ago. Which is why I was inspired by the idea contained in my near neighbor's book.

In this speech Rev. Moon is saying that two new nations were formed in 1948 and neither by their own power, but were assisted by America which is the nation of the 2nd Israel. These nations were, of course, Israel and Korea (the latter became divided at the 38th parallel). He also explained about the need for a third Israel.

Jesus did warn that it wouldn't be so easy to recognize the Lord of the Second Advent. He was giving this warning to Christians of the Last Days to help prime them to not repeat the mistake of the first chosen people who, "did not know the time of their visitation, . . . who became betrayers and murderers, as Stephen the Martyr described them, in Acts 7.

So, why should it be such a surprise to learn that Christianity failed to recognize the Lord of the Second Coming? Isn't the time that we're living through now a cause for concern, and a prompting to re-evaluate?

This is the purpose of this web-site: to put up content that may appear controversial but which is referenced in the Bible and seems reasonable to our own common sense. St Paul gave good advice when he said, "test all things, and hold fast to what is good. We do have the means to evaluate since we all have a conscience. And, originally, we are made in the image of God.

Please have a look at these two speeches - they can both be read for you, by the way. I'd like to know what you think of them.

Looking forward to hearing from You.

The Necessary Upgrade

I found out, just a few days ago, that this website has an upload limit. Due to all those mp3s 'text to voice' the upload limit became exceeded and some new content that I uploaded caused the demise of earlier content.

I had been tidying up the 'Resources page' as the icons appeared to be different sizes and, so, didn't look neat on a laptop but looked fine on a phone. I deleted the content and then rebuilt it from scratch. On testing the links after doing that I could find that some mp3 linked content had disappeared. I am going to be working on that, but, in the meantime, the Resources page now looks tidy.

The picture, at the start of this blog, is a new one for the Home page under the grouping of 'basic points'. There should be some common understanding of basic points such as: The signs of the Last Days - are they literal, or figurative? The story of, 'The Fall of Man' needs some explanation, as the current ones either say it was an actual fruit, or that it was a test of obedience . . . Either of those would get parents locked up if they did that to their children or those under their guardianship. God is not a psychopath, right? In what manner Christ will return - again to do with the 'clouds' being taken literally, or symbolically. And, finally: The 2nd Coming of Elijah and John the Baptist. In each case I removed my earlier essays and replaced these topics with the appropriate content from the Exposition of the Divine Principle.

The case for each point is made logically and rationally. If you disagree then you can see the line of reasoning, the arguments made, and can systematically refute them. We should be able to reason together, right? We are rational beings, made in the image of God.

It is only by reasoning together that we can arrive at the right answers. When I first joined the Unification Church (which has now outgrown its use) and heard these explanations I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to answer to criticisms. But now my feeling is that if my understanding is wrong then it does need to be corrected. If something is actually not fit for purpose then, when you need it the most, it is going to fail you. So, my point is that it's better to make the time to discuss these things while we're here, on planet Earth, and not to wait until we're in another realm entirely, where it may not be so easy to make necessary changes.

I took away the title, 'The Failure of John the Baptist' replacing it with the more neutral, 'The 2nd Coming of Elijah and John the Baptist'. Some people would be turned off by the provocative title, and that would be a shame.

The second coming of Elijah was a big deal 2,000 years ago. The then chosen people didn't know when the Messiah would come, but they knew that Elijah would come first from this prophecy in Malachi 4:5 - the last verse of the "Old Testament". That the second coming of Elijah wasn't a reversal of how he ascended to heaven (some 900 years before the coming of Jesus) may not be such a surprise. But, consider this, The second coming of Elijah was fulfilled by a different person, and with a different name; according to the testimony of Jesus to his disciples - in Matthew 17:10-13.

Similarly Christians of today are looking to the sky for the second coming of the Messiah. Why shouldn't the second coming of the Messiah be as equally surprising as the second coming of Elijah was to the chosen people 2,000 years ago.

Some other ideas concerning the nature of God are accepted by some people that I know. They take the All-Knowing God to the ultimate limit. We still have free-will (according to their reasoning) BUT God knows what has, is, and will happen in its entirety from the beginning of time. This understanding sidesteps Bible verses such as, Genesis 6:6 where it says that God was sorry that He made mankind; 1 Samuel 15:11 where He says that He regretted making Saul king. There is an even more significant one when God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son and, when Abraham demonstrated that he was totally committed to carrying that out that Abraham's hand was stayed and God said, "Now I know, that you fear God . . ." (Gen. 22:12)

My purpose in making this website was to put the pdf versions of the teaching ensuring that they match with the actual printed versions. Sooner or later serious Christians will engage with these teachings as they start to discover that this teaching is not only logical but makes complete sense of the Bible such that it becomes clear when the Bible is speaking literally, and when it is speaking figuratively.

Now that I have no upload limit I'm going to be putting the 7 volumes of sermons into cyberspace that can be read for you. These sermons contain clues to the attitude that we need to have toward God, which is a different matter to the fundamental truth of what actually happened.

Hoping that you'll make the time to check this out. Looking forward to hearing your observations and comments.

Test all Things, Hold Fast to what is Good.

A few days ago, July 8th, I finished the text to voice of the Exposition of the Divine Principle. This is the basic teaching of Sun Myung Moon and my goal is to make it accurate and accessible. I am surprised that pdf versions in cyberspace don't completely match with the actual books. To make it accessible it can now be read for you while polishing the car, walking the dog, or washing up (does anyone still do that in America?)

While I was making the text to voice I could, of course, correct all the deviations from the pdf versions currently available with the actual book (which is becoming not so easy to get hold of). I could also, by doing this, engage with the Divine Principle again in a very thorough and intense way. I was impressed again with the logic of this teaching, as well as with the beautiful way it is expressed. This is a robust teaching that, surprisingly to some no doubt, aligns completely with the Bible. (There are many Bible references) It gives a superb overview of the history of God's restoration since the terrible event of the Fall of Mankind and, also, explains the human portion of responsibility (with which even God cannot interfere) that is only intimated in the Bible.

For example, God was sorry that He made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart, Genesis 6:6; (God speaking to Samuel) "I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments." 1 Samuel 15:11; and, "But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to their companions, and saying: 'We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; We mourned to you, and you did not lament.'" Matthew 11:16-17.

It is God's portion of responsibility to send the Messiah, but mankind's portion of responsibility whether or not the Messiah is accepted.

I was inspired to learn that Rush Limbaugh was engaging with the CAUSA teaching (like Critique and Counter Proposal to Communism) of Rev Moon before he died. I'm guessing that there are many people who are 'movers and shakers' who are connected with the teachings of Rev. Moon, as he made such an effort to outreach, even to starting several newspapers (very expensive) such as The Washington Times.

I'm hoping that so called 'ordinary people' too can check out for themselves this teaching. Hence my title for this blog which is from a comment by St. Paul in one of his many letters. For example, "The Second Coming of Elijah and John the Baptist" (Part 1, Chapter4 Section 2) shows the importance of the Malachi 4:5 prophecy and how John's denial of being the Elijah caused a huge obstacle for the then chosen people to come to Jesus, the Messiah.

The Exposition of the Divine Principle is in three main parts. The first chapter deals with God's original ideal, and His motivation to create mankind. Understanding the original ideal is essential to understand the seriousness of the Fall of Man, and why God could not intervene to stop the Fall. Chapter 2 deals with the explanation of the origin of evil, even though God has no contradiction at all. God truly is completely good, and absolute. The rest of part one is dealing with such topics as Eschatology (Last Days) and Human History; The Messiah: His Advent and the Purpose of His Second Coming; Resurrection (as a process); Predestination; and Christology.

The current Christian teaching of the Trinity is couched in mystery because Gods original ideal is not properly understood. The Divine Principle teaching, on the other hand, makes total logical sense. This chapter (the final chapter of Part 1) also explains about the necessity for re-birth as an antidote to the result of the Fall. Exactly in line with Jesus' comment to Nicodemus; when he came to Jesus at night.

The 2nd part of the Exposition of the Divine Principle deals with the Providence of Restoration worked by God. Because of the Human portion of responsibility this has had to be worked in such a way that this was not compromised, resulting in a permanent damage to the original ideal of Creation. This is why the restoration of the Fall, which took place over a short period of time, has taken so long. In measured time (by sunrises and sunsets) it's in the ballpark of millions of years . . . (by the way, we all know the the sun doesn't really rise, or set, right?)

But the Restoration of the original ideal of God is totally worth it; we don't really have a clue of the humongous value of what we lost through the Fall. If we did then we'd spend a significantly larger portion of our life striving to recover it.

These are truly the Last Days right now. Just as there was considerable confusion in the time described by the Acts of the Apostles and the content of the letters (especially from St. Paul) there is confusion now from people (who should know better) in this time today. Just as St. Paul cut through this, by preaching the gospel of Christ, and no other; the potential confusion can be cut through, in these days, by connecting only with the teaching of the LSA, (Lord of the Second Advent) and no other. Simples, right?

Hoping that You, dear reader, will make some time to check this teaching out. In the spirit of the awesome Saint Paul, who advocated, to test all things, and hold fast to what is good.

I just read Richard Urban's blog too, and was going to appropriate it.  (but didn't) Here it is.

Let me know what you think. We can reason together, right?

I came to Christ through the Lord at His Second Coming. I have been connected with what some would regard as a ‘New Age cult’ for more than 40 years. I want, through this website, to share what I’ve come to understand, and show that it stands up to scrutiny, and criticism.

Until quite recently I had regarded Christians as the enemy of the Lord of the Second Advent! But then, through Rev. Moon’s successor, Hyung Jin Moon, after his ‘Breaking the Silence’ (2015 January) where he emphasized the Bible (KJV) and spoke almost exclusively of Jesus, grace and faith I decided to connect with a Christian church (Belmont Church in Harrow, London, UK) to find out about these aspects of faith and grace which I had no idea about.

My strength was the words of truth, as I saw it, that were contained in the ‘Exposition of the Divine Principle’. This is the basic teaching of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon that, for me, made sense of the Bible.

That Hyung Jin Moon (aka Sean Moon) has since become irrelevant is regrettable but should not become a stumbling block. The 8 Great Sacred Texts (available on the Resources page) constitute the New Age Truth that we need to connect with (from the Lord of the Second Coming) and, I believe, these are absolute.

So began a journey that opened up the teaching of Rev Moon to an understanding where I came to realize that I am a Christian, Jesus IS the Messiah (as opposed to was the Messiah) and a complete reappraisal of this teaching which is what I want to share through this means.

OK; there are abridged explanations and sudden conclusions already but I will deal with those if you write to me; let us reason together - and test all things and hold fast to what is good! Also a lot of these can be overcome by reading, "The Exposition of the Divine Principle".

Thanks for engaging with this and I hope to hear from you so that we can share together as brothers and sisters in Christ and arrive at an understanding of the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven that is more to do with 1 Corinthians 3:16 than John 3:16 Thank You for visiting this website.

    Let us reason together . . .
