Unassailable truth . . .

A few days ago I finished the formatting and text to voice for Sermons of Reverend Moon Volume 2; and now made a start on Volume 5 - the first two sermons. But, this is not anything to do with the title for this blog. I chose this title thinking about a Christian friend who can't seem to engage with the things I'm trying to share. So I thought that I should start with things that we should (unassailably) be able to agree on.

The first one to pop into my head is that the first chosen people failed to recognize Jesus as the Christ and had him killed. Furthermore, even after 2,000 years they, as a nation, still do not accept that Jesus is the Messiah - they are still waiting for the First Advent of Christ. And my point is: How can You be so sure and certain that You (the second Israel/ chosen people) won't make the same kind of humungous mistake? Isn't it astonishing that, even after 2000 years, the first chosen people still don't get it? Well, I think so.

The second one is to do with all the different denominations of Christianity. There has, of course, been blood shed over these differences. Nowadays it tends to be more just acrimonious relationships, but my point is they can't all be right, right? However, they could all be wrong . . . on certain fundamental points. But I'll get to that later. If you're aiming at something closeup you can afford to be a few degrees off, it doesn't matter, you'll still hit it. But, of course, the further out your target is the better your aim has to be to be sure of getting it.

Jesus said two very fundamental things regarding the truth - 'I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.' (John 16:12) and, 'These things I have spoken to you in figurative language, but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.' (John 16:25)

The reason that he could not speak plainly when he came 2000 years ago is because the prepared people didn't believe that he was the Messiah so he had to speak with unprepared people like the fishermen and tax collectors. Why does the Bible so scrupulously record the history of the chosen people from Abraham (the first Father of Faith) until Jesus? It was clear that if they aligned with God's will they prospered, whereas those who went against God's will encountered famine, war and death. This can be seen by contrasting the northern kingdom of Israel with the Southern kingdom of Judah. You may know that the Northern kingdom of Israel came to an end, A direct result of going against God's will.

Jesus came as a man born on the earth who did not fit the peoples' expectations. He didn't fit with the prophecy of Daniel 7:13. A famous figure of that time, John the Baptist leaves no record, in the Bible, of attending and following Jesus. Furthermore, John the Baptist denied that he was the Elijah; in direct contrast to Jesus who asserted that he was. If there was no Elijah (as John had implied through his denial) then how could Jesus really be the Messiah? Otherwise you've got to throw out the Malachi prophesy, 'that before the great and terrible day of the Lord, the prophet Elijah would come.' (Malachi 4:5) Jesus said, "If you can accept it, he (John the Baptist) is the Elijah. (Matthew 11:14) This was a result of two of John's disciples coming to ask Jesus, on behalf of John, 'if he was really the Christ, or should we look for another. (Have a look at Matthew Chapter 11 and, also, Chapter 17 for evidence of the importance of 'Elijah')

Is this not a significant point - that the first chosen people distrusted Jesus to the extent of having him killed? How can that be in alignment with God's will? Did Jesus not answer those who asked what they should be doing, to do the will of God, that they should believe in him who He has sent? (John 6:28-29) If the first chosen people had believed in Jesus as the long awaited Messiah then how could they have wanted to kill him? If the first chosen people had really carried out God's will then why did Jesus say of Judas Iscariot that it would have been better if he had not been born? And why, if the first chosen people had carried out God's will did they have such a difficult and miserable history such that some Jewish people have declared that, if this is what it means to be God's chosen people, then we no longer want this. These are logical points, right?

Jesus did warn that it would be difficult to recognize the Second Coming but these warnings have gone unheeded. Very similar to Peter who dismissed Jesus' warning to him that he would deny him three times before the rooster crowed. (The main three are Luke 17:25; Luke 18:8 and, the very scary, Matthew 7:21-23)

My own view is that Christians, like my friend, are going to be among the very last to connect with the Second Coming. That's why we need to come to agreement on some fundamental points before going any further.

A lot of Christians of today think that they cannot possibly miss the Second Coming since the Lord is coming on the Clouds and, every eye will see him. Well, a lot of people 'saw' Jesus too but discounted him as being the Messiah. So, did they really 'see' Jesus???

Similarly a lot of people think that just believing in Jesus will be enough to get to 'heaven' but, we need to connect with Jesus and be like him - otherwise there is no real change in us, right?

There is a world of difference between talk and actions. If someone tells you that a Ford is the best but you find that they actually drive a Chevrolet, doesn't the fact that he drives a Chevrolet trump any fine words that he may have said about the Ford? John the Baptist declared that Jesus was the Messiah, but then never attended him, never followed him, and, furthermore, made Jesus appear to be an imposter by denying that he was the Elijah, contrary to Jesus saying that he was.

Christianity has shown how weak it truly is in these days, by being lumped together with non-essential businesses during the 'plandemic'. Christianity is fractured into contending (and contentious) denominations, and is not really on the level of a God centered Ideology such that it can take on, and win, against communism (which is an ideology; albeit a flawed and faulty one that patently does not work as promised)

Jesus could not speak plainly when he came 2000 years ago. The Second Coming will do so. This nation of America, founded as it is upon Christian principles, does need to connect with the thought of the Second Coming, the God Centered Ideology, otherwise it can never truly get success as a nation in line with God's will.

You can verify that the Second Coming occurred shortly after World War 1 by looking at the parallels of history (restorational history) from the Exposition of the Divine Principle (part 2 Chapters 3 & 4). The reason that there are parallels in history is also explained. Connecting with this can demonstrate in a very real way how God has been consistently working to save this dysfunctional world, from the time of the Fall until today. The Bible is the record of that for the 4000 Biblical years until Jesus, and the history of the West (2nd Chosen people - Christianity) from the time of Jesus until today.

The evidence for all of this is on this website. Why not start with the 'basic points' (so far there are 4) that are on the Home page. If you can agree with those then we can start to establish an unassailable truth.

We should be able to reason together over this very important topic. And to make sufficient time for it. Even 40 minutes a week would be a good start . . .

We should not become those who are waiting for the Lord to come on literal clouds. It's never going to happen.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

What, have human beings wandered about, seeking until today? Human beings have not found satisfaction in doctrines, nor in faith. We have sought the true Word, the truth. What are we going to do with that truth, after finding it? We mean to usher in a spring garden, that can be vibrant with life. Only that, which can make human beings full of life and energy, will be the true truth. Don't you agree?

I came to Christ through the Lord at His Second Coming. I have been connected with what some would regard as a ‘New Age cult’ for more than 40 years. I want, through this website, to share what I’ve come to understand, and show that it stands up to scrutiny, and criticism.

Until quite recently I had regarded Christians as the enemy of the Lord of the Second Advent! But then, through Rev. Moon’s successor, Hyung Jin Moon, after his ‘Breaking the Silence’ (2015 January) where he emphasized the Bible (KJV) and spoke almost exclusively of Jesus, grace and faith I decided to connect with a Christian church (Belmont Church in Harrow, London, UK) to find out about these aspects of faith and grace which I had no idea about.

My strength was the words of truth, as I saw it, that were contained in the ‘Exposition of the Divine Principle’. This is the basic teaching of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon that, for me, made sense of the Bible.

That Hyung Jin Moon (aka Sean Moon) has since become irrelevant is regrettable but should not become a stumbling block. The 8 Great Sacred Texts (available on the Resources page) constitute the New Age Truth that we need to connect with (from the Lord of the Second Coming) and, I believe, these are absolute.

So began a journey that opened up the teaching of Rev Moon to an understanding where I came to realize that I am a Christian, Jesus IS the Messiah (as opposed to was the Messiah) and a complete reappraisal of this teaching which is what I want to share through this means.

OK; there are abridged explanations and sudden conclusions already but I will deal with those if you write to me; let us reason together - and test all things and hold fast to what is good! Also a lot of these can be overcome by reading, "The Exposition of the Divine Principle".

Thanks for engaging with this and I hope to hear from you so that we can share together as brothers and sisters in Christ and arrive at an understanding of the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven that is more to do with 1 Corinthians 3:16 than John 3:16 Thank You for visiting this website.

    Let us reason together . . .
