Lion of the tribe of Judah

Imposing picture, right? Yet many Christians neglect to point out that Judah had a sexual relationship with his daughter-in-law. That is quite a big deal. right? The previous blog talking about the root of sin being the premature and misuse of the sexual organs shows that this story is a crucial part of the restoration providence of God. You can read the story in the book of Genesis, chapter 38.

The Fall of Man, amongst other things, resulted in the elder son, Cain, being taken by Satan, whilst the younger son, Abel, was favored by God. With Tamar the positions were reversed in the womb resulting in the second son being born first. It is interesting that a red cord was tied around the wrist of the first son before he was pulled back in the womb by his sibling and thus the position of Cain and Abel was reversed in the womb. The restoration of the womb is an important preparation for the birth of the Messiah (Jesus).

Tamar had to put her life on the line when she did this. The commandment from God in the garden of Eden warned of death from eating of the 'fruit' of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The restoration providence necessarily means that we have to put our life on the line in order to accomplish the Will of God. When Tamar was going to be punished with death when her pregnancy became apparent she didn't say to Judah, "You did this!" But rather she presented the things that Judah had given as a pledge when he had the sexual relationship, with whom he thought was a prostitute, and said that the person to whom these things belonged was the father of her child. This gave judah the possibility to kill her if he so chose, but he recognized that she was more righteous than him and let her live.

Another story which is hard to explain with present day Christian understanding is the story of David taking the wife of his loyal subject Uriah the Hittite and, when he couldn't get Uriah to sleep with his wife, after he had had sexual relationship with her, had him killed. It seems inexplicable that God would bless the union from this relationship with the 2nd son from Bathsheba becoming the most powerful king of Israel. To this day many have heard of King Solomon as Israel was very wealthy and powerful during his reign but, after his death, the kingdom divided into North (Israel) and South (Judah) with the 10 Northern tribes being totally wiped out after 400 years. After the exile of the Israelite people the nation of Israel no longer had a king and were under the dominon of Rome at the time of Jesus.

When David is seen as the one in the Adam position, Bathsheba in Eve position, with Uriah the Hittite in the Archangel postion this story makes a whole lot of sense when we realise that the root of sin is the premature and misuse of the sexual organ. Then David (Adam) took Bathsheba (Eve) from Uriah the Hittite (Archangel) thereby reversing what took place at the Fall.

By the way, I strongly feel that Uriah would have given his wife to David, if David had asked him. It was not good of David to conspire Uriah's death and, thus, take Uriah's wife in a covert way. This was the gripe of the prophet Nathan toward David, who was speaking on behalf of God.

This same kind of story is repeated with Abraham and Sarah before he carried out the significant sacrifices that God asked him to make. Abraham was the father of the Chosen People which makes him central to God's providence of restoration. This is in Genesis chapters 12 and 20. The first sacrifice was a failure as Abraham neglected to cut the birds into two halves. The 2nd sacrifice was the sacrifice of his only son, the means through which God's blessing to Abraham could be fulfilled. In each of these stories, recorded in the Bible, Abraham and Sarah declared that they were brother and sister and Sarah was taken by the Pharoah in Genesis chapter 12 and by King Abimelech in Genesis chapter 20. In both cases the Archangel role was taken by the Pharoah, and the King, who took Sarah but then had to return her to Abraham as his wife together with wealth. This foretells the restoration of the first ancestors when the archangel will have to finally relinquish his position of ruler and 'god' of this world (Jn12:31; 2Cor4:4) at the EndTime.

Understanding the root of sin as simple disobedience does not explain why these stories appear in the Bible. It also portrays God in a completely different light: if a test is made that could result in death if you fail, then the God we believe in is a scary One indeed. Whereas God's commandment, "Do not eat, for in the day you eat of it you shall die" reveals a God who cares about us and the commandment is a means of protecting us from engaging in an activity which would result in our death.  Namely the premature and misuse of the sexual organs.

The reason I'm writing about this is because Rev Moon has been accused of sexual misconduct - so how can he be the Lord of the 2nd Advent? Yet in the Exposition of the Divine Principle these important stories recorded in the Bible, which I've just touched upon here, make a lot of sense. The first son from the union of King David and Bathsheba died which, considering how she was someone else's wife that David had killed. (2Sam11&12) seems right. And yet that the 2nd son from this union became the most powerful and blessed by God - doesn't make sense unless we can understand this from the point of view of God's restoration providence, reversing what took place at the Fall of Man.

Check this out for yourself and you will see that it makes sense. Even though the Messiah comes to bring the truth we (the people) do need to take ownership of this truth. We are supposed to also become the 'Word made Flesh'  by following the Messiah after all. The Lord of the 2nd Advent spells the end of religion (which is part of the restoration providence of God) and the beginning of the realisation of the original ideal of God which is, in essence, one world family of mankind under God through the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind. Had Adam and Eve kept God's commandment then they would have become this position. Then, of course, we wouldn't have needed a Messiah. And, we wouldn't be having this conversation!

As ever, looking forward to hearing your comments, critique etc. It may come as a surprise to find the LSA came like a thief in the night. But, time will tell. Right?

I had never thought about David asking Uriah for his wife. That was quite along restoration providence reality. Interesting.

I came to Christ through the Lord at His Second Coming. I have been connected with what some would regard as a ‘New Age cult’ for more than 40 years. I want, through this website, to share what I’ve come to understand, and show that it stands up to scrutiny, and criticism.

Until quite recently I had regarded Christians as the enemy of the Lord of the Second Advent! But then, through Rev. Moon’s successor, Hyung Jin Moon, after his ‘Breaking the Silence’ (2015 January) where he emphasized the Bible (KJV) and spoke almost exclusively of Jesus, grace and faith I decided to connect with a Christian church (Belmont Church in Harrow, London, UK) to find out about these aspects of faith and grace which I had no idea about.

My strength was the words of truth, as I saw it, that were contained in the ‘Exposition of the Divine Principle’. This is the basic teaching of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon that, for me, made sense of the Bible.

That Hyung Jin Moon (aka Sean Moon) has since become irrelevant is regrettable but should not become a stumbling block. The 8 Great Sacred Texts (available on the Resources page) constitute the New Age Truth that we need to connect with (from the Lord of the Second Coming) and, I believe, these are absolute.

So began a journey that opened up the teaching of Rev Moon to an understanding where I came to realize that I am a Christian, Jesus IS the Messiah (as opposed to was the Messiah) and a complete reappraisal of this teaching which is what I want to share through this means.

OK; there are abridged explanations and sudden conclusions already but I will deal with those if you write to me; let us reason together - and test all things and hold fast to what is good! Also a lot of these can be overcome by reading, "The Exposition of the Divine Principle".

Thanks for engaging with this and I hope to hear from you so that we can share together as brothers and sisters in Christ and arrive at an understanding of the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven that is more to do with 1 Corinthians 3:16 than John 3:16 Thank You for visiting this website.

    Let us reason together . . .
