The significance of this story of the tigers, mice and strawberries is that one of Sun Myung Moon's children was really into Buddhism even to wearing the long robes. He didn't give much regard for the original perspective of his father's new Christian teaching and thought of it as just another denomination.

That is, until he shared this story with his father who very spontaneously gave a unique answer that he realized was higher than the orthodox one. The strawberry the man picked and ate was a representation of the special moments in our lives that we should treasure. While hanging onto a vine above a sheer fall, with tigers above and below him seen as an unavoidable fate. as were the black and white mice (representing night and day) gnawing at the vine the man held, whilst eating and appreciating the delicious fruit.

His father cut to the chase by saying, "my son, you need to give the strawberries to the mice and tigers!" This is spontaneously in line with Jesus' declaration to love your enemy, and to live for others

The autobiography, 'As a Peace Loving Global Citizen' is available as an audio book and as a PDF that should align with the print copy. Since this is written by someone who went through some really bitter trials throughout his life and triumphed over them should make it an account that we could immeasurably benefit from. We need to have the similar realization that his son had, who saw at that moment the value of his father's basic attitude and thought, and that his father was far more than just another Christian church leader.

AudioBook together with PDF of "As a Peace Loving Global Citizen"

As the title states this audiobook is complete and the 'Zip' file also contains the PDF that actually aligns with the print copy. I have yet to check it though and will share the result of that next weekend. This is the picture that I want to use for the cover and comes from the pocket size edition published in 2011.

Having listened to this book several times over in putting this audiobook together over the last 8 weeks I've come to appreciate it much more. It contains very good advice and a check for our motivation in doing anything in our life. Are we doing it for the sake of ourselves, or for something greater than ourselves.

The audiobook is, as always, both on the 'AudioBooks download' page as well as the 'Resources' page. The pink (+ve) background button is the male voice option; and the blue (-ve) background button is the female voice option.

I hope that you'll try some of the Chapter segments as from this you will be able to effectively evaluate Reverend Sun Myung Moon and see (for yourself) whether his claim to be the 3rd Adam is potentially valid or not.

The 3rd Adam's goals in essence were to give re-birth that is physical as well as spiritual; and to speak plainly (and abundantly) about our Heavenly Father God such that mankind's fundamental ignorance about very basic issues can be ended. The 3rd Adam is, of course, also known as the Lord of the 2nd Advent. (2nd coming of Messiah, Christ)

The term Messiah has the tendency to evoke preconceived ideas. For this reason I really like the idea of "True Parents" that Reverend Moon introduced to elucidate what God was striving to accomplish through the history of restoration from the terrible event of the 'Fall of Man.' The first human ancestors should have become true parents, but they became, through the fall 'false parents.' Jesus and the Holy Spirit could give spiritual rebirth only (since Jesus could only regain his position after the crucifixion and resurrection) - hence they were the spiritual true parents.

So, the restoration period of history concluded with the reinstatement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, God's substantial self that was lost because of the 'Fall of Man;' and, as a result of that we are in a new era - the Era of 4th Adam.

But, don't take my word for it. Do your own research. After all, since we're made in the image of God we should be able to own the truth.

Happy Easter! He is Risen!!!

As of writing, today is Easter Sunday celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So, I wanted to give a present for You! It's a reading of the last part of Chapter 8, "As a Peace Loving Global Citizen," from TP S M Moon entitled "Dreaming of a Peaceful World."

Last month it was possible to link an mp3 and it would play on your device. But, this month it doesn't work. But, maybe it later will - so the image is a link for that. In the meantime, however, I put a male voice and female voice readings in a 'Zip' file (of this last part of chapter 8) so you can download it and try them out. Here is the LINK to that. (4.4 MB)

In this part he speaks about his idea to make an International Peace Highway; and this is where the image heading this blog comes from. The idea to make the world interconnected through this highway in a similar way that the blood vessels function in a body. It will then be possible to travel by car from Africa's Cape of Good Hope to Santiago, Chile; and from London to New York.

He also shares his idea to reform and renew the United Nations so that it can become effective and relevant again. Going against the old idea of division between church and state by making the UN bicameral - adding a religious element akin to the mind, to work with the existing part which is more external (like the body).

But, one way or another, you'll be able to hear or read this for yourself and evaluate it. I was inspired to see that his idea of the Bering Straight King Bridge/Tunnel is gaining traction, and may even be built in my lifetime! (i am quite old, at 75)

In his Easter message President Trump declared that to have a great country you need religion, and you also need God. That doesn't sound like division between church and state. But then, President Trump is not an ordinary guy. It seems that the USA is coming to alignment with the original spirit that brought it into being. That's got to be a good thing. I hope it will continue.

This is an interesting topic from the viewpoint of a religious leader. The picture is linked to the mp3 file reading this part of Ch7 - 10m:29s long.

The whole of Chapter 7 is under the heading: Future of Korea, Future of the World. The 'Zip' file containing the tagged mp3 with the associated artwork from the printed copy of the book is on the AudioBook download page, and the Resources page.

As you can imagine, from one who declared publicly that he was the True Parent of Heaven, Earth and Humankind - God's Substantial Self; the content of this book is thoughtful and insightful.

I'm hoping that by making this autobiography more accessible that it will help people to connect with these ideas and help to think about life in a more public way.

This is Easter Saturday. The big day is tomorrow. I was very impressed with the Easter message from the USA President when he declared that; to be a great nation, you must have religion, and you must have God. And he called the resurrection of Jesus, the most glorious miracle of all time.
